Pippin Pulse is a power supply for  pulsed-field gel electrophoresis that resolves DNA fragment size of 100kb and beyond. Users can develop their own field-inversion protocols with its software.

The system works by switching the direction of the electric field in a gel, so that DNA will shuttle back and forth in the gel. The large DNA fragments running rate will be slowed down and thus more differentiated separation from smaller molecules can be achieved.
