Technical Officer

The Biosciences Central Research Facility (CWB) [BioCRF(CWB)] at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is a core facility to provide cutting edge technologies in biological research. We are currently seeking candidates with relevant experience in one of the following core areas:

Flow cytometry core
Microscopy core
Tissue culture core

In addition to providing instrument training to the University users and improving the automation of the high-throughput data analysis, BioCRF(CWB) also provides contract research services to other educational institutes and the business sector. The successful candidate is expected to support current services, keep pace with technological innovation and provide technical assistance in the area(s) above.

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s or higher degree in biological science, bioinformatics or relevant disciplines, coupled with extensive hands-on experience in the area(s) above. Candidates with less experience but demonstrated potential are welcome to apply and may be considered for appointment as Junior Technical Officer. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)
